What an activation link is
An activation link is delivered after purchase and is meant to apply a subscription offer to a Google account. Whether it works depends on your account, your region and whether the offer is still valid.
What Google's own terms say
Google's Terms of Service (effective July 2026 when we checked) expect you to take reasonable steps to keep your Google Account secure, and allow Google to suspend or end access if you materially breach its terms or policies. You can appeal a suspension through the Help Center.
Details about paid plans and storage limits sit in service-specific terms rather than in the main terms we read, so check the current Google One and Google AI plan terms for your region before you buy.
Before you buy
Read the listing for region limits, eligibility rules and the length of the subscription. Offers can be restricted to new accounts or specific countries.
Compare with Google's own plan price so you can judge whether the saving is worth the extra uncertainty.
Ask the seller what happens if the link has already been used or fails to apply.
After purchase
Use the link promptly. Dispute windows are limited and links can expire.
Never share your Google password or verification codes. An activation link should not need them.
Risks to understand
- Links may be single use, region locked or time limited.
- Subscription offers can be revoked by the provider if they were obtained in a way that breaks its terms.
- A request for your Google password or 2-step codes is a scam sign.

Do I need to share my Google password?
No. An activation link is opened while you are signed in yourself. Never send your password or codes to a seller.
Why did the link not work?
Common reasons are region limits, account eligibility or a link that was already used. Contact the seller and open a dispute quickly.
Is it cheaper than buying directly?
Sometimes, but prices change. Compare current offers with the official plan before deciding.
